Mark has been with Camelot since April 1997, operator of the UK National Lottery, one of the world's most successful lotteries. By putting players first, it has achieved an unparalleled track record in innovation and long-term, responsible growth.  Mark has supported the business in running the most cost-effective lottery in Europe, and in operating one of the largest retail networks in the world.

Mark has recently been part of a small team providing consulting services to the California State Lottery (CSL) – now the-fastest growing lottery in the US – to help it to increase sales and returns to the state education system, and has been exploring further opportunities within the US and in other international markets. In this role he is responsible for providing retail and sales consultancy to CSL.

Mark joined Camelot as a retail account manager, subsequently heading up the convenience channel and is currently working as Vice President for Camelot Global Services (CGS), part of the Camelot Group of companies. This has included the delivery of a major change management programme; providing insight into CSL's retail and sales strategy, developing new, more effective and efficient ways of working for its retail sales force, and implementing retail-focused sales and marketing initiatives – all of which are helping to deliver improved sales performances.

Prior to his work with CGS, Mark was Head of Retail Sales for Camelot for three years, leading a team of nearly 200 sales representatives and managers, and refocusing Camelot’s in-store approach as the company entered its 3rd licence to operate the UK National Lottery.

Previously, Mark has vast experience in retail with Safeway – at that point one of the UK's leading supermarket store groups – and the Post Office.
