Self service could please 1-in-4 at Waitrose

Waitrose is to roll out self-service checkouts at its stores across the UK, following a trial of self-service solutions across a number of its stores.  him! research shows that 27% of shoppers use self-service tills where they are available.  Self-service tills are particularly attractive in capturing the much fought over ‘top up’ shoppers - 36% of those spending under £10 will use self service tills, where available.
