Till-free grocery shop? There’s an app for that.

Do you recall a few weeks back we highlighted how PayPal were working in conjunction with a POS software company in the States to enable retail payments via mobile phones? Well it won’t be long until shoppers in one of the big-4 will be able to conduct their shop and walk away without the need to visit the checkout.

Using a new mobile app, shoppers will be able to fill their grocery bag while scanning in barcodes as they shop – and even pay via their smartphone.
