Understanding own label…..
A special report from Symphony IRI published this week stated that ‘Shoppers in Europe buy nearly as many private label products as they do national brands and in some countries they are viewed as equal to, or better than, many nationally branded products.’
In the UK we know from our Cash and Carry Retailer Tracking Programme that only 35% of retailers bought any of that cash and carry’s own label here today - and for those that did buy own label, soft drinks is by far the most commonly bought category.
