I went into Sainsburys last week. And there was this very nice lady giving out free samples of a "fruit-based spirit drink". It was past 11am, which I figured was a reasonable time to start drinking on a Saturday (yeh, yeh, Drinkaware, I know- I only had ONE!) so I had a taster there and then what happened next?.....I went into the aisle where said drink was being merchandised and bought a
full sized bottle.
If supermarkets can do it, why can't the Ontrade. Ontrack 2012 has told us that 75% of pub and bar customers would be likely to buy a new product if the pub/bar that they were in offered a free taster. 75% is a massive opportunity.
So can we try it? Is there a supplier and a pub owner/manager/company out there that we can hook up for a trial for a week? Just email us if you want to be involved and lets see if we can test the theory....
