Our recent finding that 1-in-4 shoppers are not satisfied with current range in convenience stores caused quite a stir among our clients, and rightly so. Price, service and merchandising become secondary if we don't have the actual products that our shoppers need, when they need them.

Regular range reviews, based on account specific shopper understanding is step one in ensuring the right products are available (we can help with that - just ask!) But often there is a missing link in our understanding of how we ensure the right products are on shelf; we often neglect the attitudes and behaviour of the store staff.

Our research shows that store staff and managers have a 'hit list' of their least popular categories to manage; beer, milk and soft drinks are among them. Take a look here.
