The convenience channel is a growing force to be reckoned with as sales broke the £30bn barrier last year- news that even got a feature in yesterday's Metro!

According to new research from the IGD, value sales have grown 6.3% YoY, increasing the sector's share of the total grocery market to just over a fifth.

Focusing on CTP 2010, an article from The Grocer suggests that c-stores are now increasingly meeting demand for fresh and value, enabling them to compete more effectively with the big box multiples.
