him! has launched a new delivered wholesale customer tracking programme. This programme will compliment him!'s two existing cash & carry tracking Programmes, C&C Retailer and C&C Caterer.

The study will speak to independent retailers/caterers who receive deliveries from delivered wholesalers and will allow delivered wholesalers and suppliers to:

• Develop growth strategies based on customer (and potential customer) feedback
• Understand the inter-relationship between the two main “routes to market”: delivered versus cash & carry
• Predict future trends better based on qualitative and quantitative customer insight
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and grow category sales.

An advisory board has taken place allowing all interested parties to influence the questionnaire we believe the following issues will be of interest to wholesalers and/or suppliers:

• Service levels – on-time and accurate?
• Frequency of delivery by product type?
• Ease of ordering?
• How do they order products?
• Benefits of current wholesaler?
• What else would you like them to do for you?
• Use of other sources to buy products (C&Cs, supermarkets)?
• Which products are bought from other channels, and why?
• Importances?
• Satisfaction ratings?
• How many different delivered wholesalers are used?
• Why more than one? Relationship with van drivers?
• Awareness of additional support services?
• How valued?
• Awareness of current promotions?
• How made aware of the promotions?
• Cross-offs and substitutions?
• Suggested ordering – are they using it?
• Is it working?
• In which categories?
• Which categories do customers sell but don't source through their main wholesaler?

The programme will be full disclosure meaning all participating companies will be able to see all of the results. Suppliers and wholesalers will all have an equal opportunity to influence the questionnaire.
